Prof. (Capt) Lata Kumar is a highly esteemed scholar and dedicated educator in the field of Sociology. She holds MA in Sociology and Hindi too, an M.Phil from Dr. BRA University, Agra, and a Ph.D. from Lucknow University, and she qualified UGC NET in Dec 1996 and June 1997 as well. Currently, she serves as the Professor and Incharge of the Department of Sociology at Shaheed Mangal Pandey Government Girls PG College, Meerut, where she also acts as an Associate NCC Officer. With over 28 years of extensive experience in teaching and research, Prof. (Capt.) Lata Kumar has made significant contributions to academia, inspiring and mentoring her students. She is expert in Social Disorganization and Gender Studies, Prof. Kumar has actively participated and organized numerous conferences, faculty development programs, seminars, workshops, training programs, and webinars. She has presented more than 85 research papers and published 27 research papers along with seven books, 02 PhD and 45 dissertations at PG level and, has organized over 125 rallies and awareness campaigns on various social issues. Prof. Kumar is a life member of Indian Sociological Society, Indian Social Science Association and the World Peace Movement and has received more than 60 awards and appreciation certificates from various organisations.
Dr. Preeti Singh is an accomplished academician known for her insightful work on socially relevant themes. She holds an M.Phil and Ph.D. in Sociology from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. With a robust background in journalism, spanning five years in television media and over six years of experience in higher education, she brings a unique blend of practical and scholarly expertise. Dr. Singh currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and as a Research Officer for the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Research Chair at Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut. She has presented and published more than 15 research papers and is the author of 2 books. A thoughtful and prolific writer, her articles addressing contemporary social issues are frequently published, contributing meaningfully to both academic scholarship and public debate
