Prof. (Dr.) Susan Verghese P is a distinguished faculty member with 32 years of experience in the Department of Chemistry at St. John’s College, Agra, where she currently serves as Head of the department. Prof. Verghese has received the SEG Awards ABC Level 3 in Education and Training from Skills and Education Group, United Kingdom. She has also participated in the “Masterclass on Artificial Intelligence AI Tools for Teaching” organized by NPTC Group of Colleges, UK, and completed the India-UK International Faculty development programs on “Blended and Online Teaching-Learning.” Prof. Verghese holds a Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from St. John’s College, an M.Phil. from the Institute of Basic Sciences, and a Ph.D. from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra. She was a member of the three-member committee responsible for developing the Common Minimum Syllabus of Chemistry for all UP State universities and colleges. Under her guidance, 11 research scholars have been awarded their Ph.D., and four scholars are currently pursuing their doctoral research. Prof. Verghese has also successfully completed a project sponsored by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Her research interests include nanotechnology, material science, heavy metal recovery and reuse, water pollution management, and the synthesis of eco-friendly pesticides. Prof. Verghese has published over 90 articles in national and international journals, books, and conference proceedings. As a renowned expert in her field, Prof. Verghese has served as a resource person for numerous Faculty Development Programs and Analytical Instrumentation Training Courses. She has delivered many invited lectures and presented papers at conferences, including an international conference held in Bangkok. Additionally, she has been a panelist in SAARC and a National Geographic Channel documentary film. She has won many awards for her contribution to academic development programs and is a member of many professional bodies. Throughout her distinguished career, Prof. Verghese has demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and leadership, making significant contributions to chemistry teaching, research, administration, and extracurricular activities.
Dr. Ram Kumar Saraswat is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, St. John’s College, Agra. He earned his Ph.D. from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra in 2024. He qualified CSIR-NET in 2011. He has published 8 research papers in international and national journals of repute and presented papers in International and national conferences. His field of research interest is environmental chemistry and Water Chemistry
